Copper Skull

Copper “Skull” from Centennial Mine, Houghton Co., Michigan. Seldom seen formation which occurs when copper is deposited around cobbles in a conglomerate lode. The cobble deteriorates over time and leaves the copper “skull” formation. Specimen size is 135x110x50mm. From Ed Coleman Collection.
