A largercognac color twinned crystal sits perfectly, with a small accompanying crystal at it’s base, on a thin layer of matrix. Crystal faces are razor sharp. There is no damage on this specimen. The luster is great. This is a quality specimen from Elmwood Mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA.
This specimen from Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia is a classic. Several dispersed crystals up to 3.3 cm in length project from the matrix. The crystals are sharp. The surface of the crystals displays varying degrees of texture appearing almost iridescent in places. This specimen has come from an older collection recently purchased. It is mounted with mineral tack on an acrylic base.
It is difficult to get just copper chisel chips anymore. This specimen with both copper and silver is unique. As shown in the photos there is a generous amount of silver. This piece was acquired from the collection of John Perona in August of 2014. I in turn purchased it from Michigan collector, Ed Coleman, last week. It is from the Cliff Mine, Keweenaw County, Michigan.
