Fluorite and Barite
This specimen was collected in 1991 by a Kentucky collector/dealer by the name of Bill McKenzie. It comes from the East Faircloth Vein, Mundy’s landing, Woodford Co, Kentucky. Half of the specimen consists of color zoned fluorite crystals ranging from purple on the edges to clear/yellow hue in the center. The balance of the piece is a large 1/2 ball of barite. The fluorite crystals are exceptionally beautiful when backlit.
