Fluorite with Calcite and Pyrite
Composition is everything with this piece! Two amber colored fluorites sit nestled in a pocket which is lined with white calcite crystals. The fluorite crystals are up to 1.7 cm on edge and consist of multiple stepped faces. Pyrite crystals are sprinkled throughout the pocket. It comes from what I consider a somewhat obscure mid west location of Pint’s Quarry, Raymond Black Hawk Co., Iowa,USA.

Calcite
Undamaged grouping of tan colored calcite crystals projecting prominently from a matrix which is covered with a first generation of smaller white calcite crystals. The top crystal is twinned. An unusual locality for me in that it comes from Gralex Quarry, Mont-sur-Marchienne, Charleroi, Hainaut Province, Belgium.
