Barite on Fluorite

This specimen is from Denton Mine, Harris Creek District, Hardin Co., Illinois. Good specimens from this area have become hard to find. The main barite grouping is approximately 4.7 cm long and contrasts nicely with the faces of the purple fluorite cube they rest on.
